  1. Boys are expected to look neat and well-groomed with hair cut short. Girls with long hair are expected to plait it with black ribbon, and hair band is a must for short hair. Nails should be trimmed short with no nail polish. Fancy earrings, chains, necklaces or make up are not allowed. All students are expected to wear navy blue cardigans in winter.
  2. Cleanliness of person and uniform is expected of every child. Those who come to school dressed untidily will not be allowed to attend school. Every student must possess at least 2 sets of the right shade uniform.
  3. Every student must wear his/her I card at all times within the school premises. Parents / Guardians must carry the escort card issued by the school during the school visits.
  4. Parents not availing the transport facility have to carry escort card everyday while collecting their child.
  5. Any Damage or Loss of the card to be reported immediately to the school office. Duplicate card will be issued from the school office at an additional cost.
  6. Every student is expected to be in school ten minutes before the school timing. A child coming late to school may not enter the classroom until permission is obtained from the head of the school.
  7. All children should be particularly careful not to throw any papers, seeds, etc. on the floor in the school premises or in the compound.
  8. No student is allowed to leave the classroom without the permission of the teacher or until the class is dispersed.
  9. No student will be exempted from physical training without a doctor's certificate. Those who are thus excused must go and watch the drill.
  10. Report on conduct and application is issued after every test on the result sheet. These reports have to be signed by the parents and returned to the class teacher the next day.
  11. A child suffering from any contagious or infectious diseases will not be allowed to attend the school without a fitness certificate from a doctor. However, the permission to attend school lies with the Principal.

Rules and Regulations:

  1. Irregular attendance, habitual negligence in work, dishonesty, obscenity in word or act, insubordination, serious misconduct or threats, even outside the school, are sufficient reasons for dismissal.
  2. Any student who is persistently insubordinate or is repeatedly or willfully mischievous, or is guilty of gross malpractice in connection with an examination or of unauthorised alterations in a mark sheet or leaving certificate, or who in the opinion of the Principal, has an unwholesome influence on his/her fellow students may be removed from the rolls.
  3. Any student caught indulging in any form of malpractice during the examination will be prohibited from continuing to appear for said paper and will not be allotted any marks for the same. He / She will not be allowed to attend the subsequent paper too.

Disciplinary Offense and Action Defined:

The following types of behavior are unacceptable and should be avoided at all times. Such offenses may lead to disciplinary actions.

This is a controlled document. Unauthorized access, copying and replication is prohibited. This Document must not be copied wholly or partially without the written authorisation of the C.E.O of Children's Academy Group of Schools.

  1. No student who has been absent will be permitted to attend school without a leave-note from the parent/guardian certifying his/her absence and reason thereof. The date of absence must likewise be signed in the handbook .Any request for leaves / half days etc. must be in the handbook only. Application on pieces of paper will not be accepted.
  2. The name of the student shall be struck off the rolls if he/she without serious reasons absents himself/herself for more than a week. As a rule such students are not readmitted, if readmitted they will have to pay entrance fee again.
  3. No leave for attending marriage will be granted except for close relations like brothers or sisters.
  4. A student who remains absent prior to exams without any valid reason will not be allowed to take the examinations.
  5. Students who do not report on the reopening day after summer vacation will have to pay the entrance fee again, unless they have a valid reason for the delay. Students will not be allowed to attend school without written approval of the Principal.
  6. No Leave will be granted for religious ceremonies.
Policy: Fee concessions are granted to students in the following three categories:

Category 1: Children of the employees of Children's Academy Group of Schools.

Fee subsidy of 50% is given to the children of the staff members, studying at Children's Academy subject to following criteria:

  1. The Subsidy will not be applicable to Part Time Teacher / Visiting faculty / Float Teacher / Contract staff / teacher on long leave.
  2. The Subsidy will be applicable from the date of confirmation of the employee.
  3. The Subsidy will be applicable from the date of confirmation of the employee.
  4. All other fees like Bus fee, External assessment/tests fee, Fee collected for Government exams etc. or any other fee collected by the school under any head will be paid by the employee in full.
  5. In case of a child repeating a year in the same class, he/she will not be eligible for fee concession for that period.
  6. Only two children from one family / of an employee will qualify for the concession.

Category 2: Children of Parents with weak financial condition due to the death of the Husband or due to a family member suffering a major/chronic illness.

  1. Fee subsidy of 50% to children will be given to Parents who are unable to pay fees because of weak financial conditions due to the death of the Husband or due to a family member suffering a major/chronic illness.
  2. Parents applying for concessions shall apply every year, as soon as the fee payment schedule is announced, before the commencement of the academic year.
  3. The subsidy will be applicable to Tuition, term, library and laboratory fee.
  4. All other fees like Bus fee, External assessment/tests fee, Fee collected for Government exams etc. or any other fee collected by the school under any head will be paid by the parents in full.
  5. In case of a child repeating a year in the same class, he/she will not be eligible for the fee concession for that period.
  6. Only two children of a family will qualify for the concession.
  7. In case of widows, 50 % Concession is granted irrespective of the financial condition of the widow. No Concessions shall be offered if the parent was a widow before admission.

Category 3: Families unable to pay due to financial losses or lack of employment

  1. The school as a policy does not grant any concession under this category. But the Parent is free to make an application to the School office.
  2. The office usually has a list of Individuals / NGO's / Trusts who have expressed their desire to help such parents. The school's Alumni Association, CAXSA, too offers such help.
  3. The Principal / Office will issue an introductory letter to the Parent, addressed to the potential Donor.
  4. Granting or refusing any such concession is left to the discretion of the Donor.

Note:Granting any additional fee concession or refusing fee concession is at the discretion of Management.

  1. Every child must bring the school handbook to class daily. No student is allowed to tear any page from the handbook nor is permitted to use it as a rough book.
  2. Any communication sent through this Handbook must be taken note of and duly signed.
  3. Any change in contact details must be immediately notified to the school authorities.
  4. While communication with the school authorities, parents are requested to mention in their letter the G.R.No., U.I.D no., grade and division of their child.
  5. If a student has lost or misplaced the school Handbook, he/she can buy another from the school.
  6. Parents are not allowed to meet their child or teachers during school hours without the sanction of the authorities. The parents may meet the teachers on Thursdays before class hours by prior appointment.
  7. Parents are requested not to fetch the children from school before the scheduled time of the school hours, except in case of emergencies when permission should be obtained in writing.
  8. Parents are requested to plaint (if any) directly to the authorities and not to the class teacher.
  9. Suggested a redraft -*** In case of any concerns / complaints to be raised, parents may directly approach the school authorities and not the class teacher
  10. The school cannot make itself responsible for books, money, clothes and other articles that are lost. It is not advisable for students to have money or valuable articles with them.
  11. Any damages done to school property or to that of the other students will have to be made good.
  12. No books, articles other than school books may be brought into the school premises. Carrying/use of mobile phones is prohibited in school. Chewing gum is strictly prohibited in the school premises.
  13. Gifts to teachers and demonstrations in their honour are not allowed.
  14. No collection for any purpose whatsoever will be started without the prior permission of the Principal.
  15. Morning or afternoon shift and division is allotted to students as per convenience of the school. Parents or students cannot demand shift and division of their choice.
  16. Reductions in fees are granted in special cases to poor and deserving students. Concessions are tenable only for the year for which they are granted and may be cancelled at any time of the year if the student fails to satisfy the authorities in the conduct and application. No reduction in fees will be made in favour of those whose academic progress and/or discipline is unsatisfactory.
  17. Parents are given to understand that they cannot dictate to the management and the management, thus has the right to say on about what condition they will admit or retain students in the school provided such conditions are in conformity with the grant-in-aid code and the instructions issued by the Council or Director or the Education Inspectors.
  18. The engagement of private tutors may prove injurious to real progress. Parents must therefore remember that the school discourages private tuitions.
  19. Teachers of Children's Academy Group of Schools are banned from taking any tuition of any student of the Children's Academy Group of Schools. Engaging of a tuition teacher who is an employee of the Children's Academy Group of Schools will be viewed as a breach of disciplinary rules of the school and appropriate disciplinary actions will be initiated against the teacher and the student.
  20. Gifts shall not be given to any staff member on any occasion.
